My partner of almost 19 years is in a plane on his way to California for his brother's wedding. He feels very strange. His family are very supportive and he doesn't want it to put a damper on the festivities but his family will be very hurt and upset and he doesn't want to take away from his brother's special day. We talked about me flying out over the weekend and us getting married. I guess not. So I am very happy but very sad at the same time. I guess numb describes it best.
