Oscar Wilde Quotes

I'm off to bed, but I thought I'd post some quotes that always make me chuckle.  From The Importance of Being Earnest:

To lose one parent, Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.

I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance.
Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is
gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound.
Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect
whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper
classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square.

I know some people are partial to the play and hated the movie, but Judi Dench delivers these lines so perfectly that -  even if I didn't adore the rest of the movie – these would be enough for me to buy the DVD.
